Full-time & Part-time. ANC Teachers and Tutors are the foundation of our business and make the greatest impact on our students. ANC Teachers/Tutors must be available after school and on weekends and have already earned a 4-year college degree. All tutors should have documented experience as teachers/tutors in each subject area for which they desire to tutor.  Tutors should be comfortable with both face to face interactions and online video conferencing.




  • Travel may be required to ANC offices, public libraries, and students’ schools or be comfortable using video conferencing to conduct tutoring sessions.

  • Schedule tutoring appointments through the ANC office and keep detailed logs of each student’s hours and progress (tutors are not to “freelance” with ANC students, but serve as a representative of ANC). 

  • Research or recommend textbooks, software, equipment, or other learning materials to complement tutoring.

  • Prepare and facilitate tutoring workshops, collaborative projects, or academic support sessions for small groups of students.

  • Participate in training and development sessions to improve tutoring practices or learn new tutoring techniques.

  • Organize tutoring environment to promote productivity and learning.

  • Monitor student performance or assist students in academic environments, such as classrooms, laboratories, or computing centers.

  • Review class material with students by discussing text, working solutions to problems, or reviewing worksheets or other assignments.

  • SAT/ACT, SSAT, and TOEFL tutors must be able to demonstrate their knowledge and ability with each test preparation process.
